Our Mission Statement: “To empower people through dynamic health programs and virtual trials that assess the real-world impact of lifestyle interventions—such as diet, exercise, meditation, and herbal medicine—on stress, anxiety, depression, and long-term health.”

Trails of Life will gather and analyse real-world-evidence for many of the current leading health interventions being touted as the best solutions for our wellness but which commonly lack evidence and specificity in application, resulting in ambivalent health advice and widespread confusion to the public.

Trials of Life is a small research organisation founded by two old friends who worked at medicines regulatory agencies on both sides of the Atlantic. Trials of Life.net was launched at a longevity conference at the University of Iceland, organized by co-founder Larry Callahan.

We will forge partnerships with leading laboratories, researchers, health and fitness experts, and doctors to bring the Trials of Life community leading science while providing integrative health pathways for a number of disorders and health challenges.

Our Commitment to Evidence-Based Solutions

Our focus is evidence-based interventions to improve overall health, including medicines, supplements, exercise, and diet programs. Currently, we emphasize therapeutic areas related to the brain, such as ADHD, Bipolar, depression, and anxiety, with plans to expand into other therapeutic areas in the future.

Why are we doing this?

The health and wellness space is rife with false claims and exaggerated promises, particularly in alternative medicine and the burgeoning field of nootropics. Some of these interventions can pose significant risks, especially when combined with medications or taken inappropriately. For example, the rise of “health hacks” for brain health has led to a flood of supplement stacks with limited proven efficacy, potentially disrupting the body’s natural chemistry.

For individuals with chronic diseases, serious disorders, or mental health challenges, time is critical. Misleading information and ineffective solutions can lead to wasted time, worsening conditions, and even fatalities.

Our Approach

Our process is rooted in evidence and feedback. We dynamically steer our community away from ineffective interventions and towards solutions with promising evidence. When significant positive evidence is confirmed, we advocate for rigorous clinical research to validate these findings.

Currently, research on many alternative medicines and therapies remains inconclusive. More precise study designs with larger populations are essential to close the evidence gaps.

Upcoming Research: ADHD and bipolar Dietary Program Trial

Our first clinical trial, launching in early 2025, will test our first research project, the BRAIN diet, which is an neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative focused dietary intervention program. The diet with it’s focus on key biologic pathway issues, aims to enhance the quality of life by supporting optimal brain function.

Our first clinical trial, launching in early 2025, will test the BRAIN diet against ADHD and bipolar.  Other clinical trials will focus on other disorders subsequently.
